A Texas Venture Community Non-Profit Launches in Response to the State’s Startup Investor Population Growth

Austin, TEXAS— A newly formed event series occurring October 3rd-14th, helps bring the startup investor community together by co-creating two weeks of gatherings featuring the regional venture scene.
Venture Fest, located in Austin, Texas features a variety of open and private events to help lead or attend including: a venture pitch, DJ battle, panels, coffee meetup, wine tasting, investor night, dinner parties, workouts, secret Chief of Staffs meetup, happy hours, after parties and will introduce Austin’s first Venture Crawl located downtown.
Austin now has 160 greater venture organizations made up of venture capital firms, accelerators, incubators, family offices, corporates, startup studios, angel networks/funds, LPs, growth and private equity firms.
“The venture community in Texas is unlike any other,” Morgan Flager, Managing Partner at Silverton Partners said. “The still rising tide of startup activity in Texas most definitely lifts all boats. The Texas Venture Crawl is a great symbol of this.”

“We always make folks go into the major city hubs to meet up, but with this model I’d like to highlight every town and their venture developments.”
“It’s been really incredible seeing existing and new startup investor leaders come together across venture firms to cohost this,” said CS Freeland, the founder and co-organizer of the Venture Fest. “It’s also been a dream come true to work with such stellar and ambitious startup investors. There is a real diversity all across professionals, industries, investment stages, personalities, experience, and of course new geographic backgrounds— all working with each other.”
