About

If it takes a village to raise a startup, we can raise a Texas-sized startup ecosystem. Texas Venture Alliance works literally and figuratively beyond city “limits”.

We are a force multiplier on a mission to amplify the ecosystem of startup support, and advocate for startups and investors at the Texas State Capitol.

Amplify a Texas-sized ecosystem of startup support

Resources: Newsletter & Directory

The Texas Venture Newsletter promotes pitch competitions, startup application deadlines, networking events, and accomplishments of our founding members, via both email and LinkedIn. Sign up here and view previous newsletters here. The Texas Venture Directory is here.

Experiences

We host a variety of unique one-off events as well as regular signature initiatives such as the Texas Venture Fest (formerly Texas Venture Crawl). Members’ events and resources are also promoted to the larger startup and venture community. View archived events here.

Regional Venture Pages

Our state and city pages are regularly updated to tell the story of that region, and are written by locals from that area. We consistently conduct, add interviews and not-to-be-missed events as well. Check them out here.

Advocate for startups and investors in government.

Policy Work

We work to create a prosperous business environment for startups and investors. We’ve created, supported, and testified for a variety of venture bills. We also promote and cover venture bill tracking through the Texas State Capitol. View the most updated resource for all venture advocacy work.

Government Network

A strong, maintained, and growing network of government officials, lobbyists, as well as municipalities, and more, are an important part of legislative work. Our partners in legislation are important to advocating for the startup and venture community.

Studies & Surveys

We’ve provided review and survey of past state initiatives, as well as actively collect feedback on current ones. Sharing learnings creates valuable and mature legislation for the future. We published a summary review for the public on the Texas Emerging Technology Fund as an example, here.
