Cathy is unlike many operations leaders. She has the ability to both 'keep the trains on time' leading teams to execute existing process efficiently and the ability to 'lay track' building new process or adapting existing to change the business. All of this is accomplished with professional direct action.

While leading an acquisition project I'd have to juggle many things to get the deal done. Having Cathy with me made this much easier knowing anything she stepped up to own would get done. Many of the deals I closed wouldn't have happened without her ability to build and execute the diligence needed. After we closed she often took on the complex operational challenge of translating the processes of the newly acquired into ones that allowed them to succeed as part of Rackspace.

During my time running the SMB SaaS business at Rackspace she was critical in enabling us to transform the organization rolling out a 300+ reorganization that produced massive operational efficiency. It allowed us to continue to operate at the highest levels of customer NPS in the business AND carve off teams to set up the new Azure business (creating one of the top 2 lines of new business for Rackspace today), enable the Jungle Disk spin-off (which produced an excellent financial outcome for Rackspace), and lastly to set up and launch the Office 365 offering (now the #1 growing SMB SaaS product for Rackspace).

I had the pleasure of serving alongside Cat as a member of the Cloud Office senior leadership team. She quickly became a highly valued peer and drove a level of operational excellence across the organization that we previously lacked. Her efforts led to an increased level of visibility and understanding of performance that put our BU in a position to look past the numbers and understand true business trends and gain insight that proved to be crucial as we refined a GTM for a new and flagship offering. Her ability to provide value across the business and reputation as a clutch team player made her an incredible asset to our org, particularly in her ability to influence cross-functionally-- from the C-suite to the front line. She's would be a stellar addition to any organization lucky enough to have her.
