Professional Biography
Best gift I've received to date? An entrepreneur's idea notebook from my husband (the Hatch Notebook if you're curious). In fact, he knew I would fill that one up pretty quickly so he bought me two at the same time.
If I'm known for anything, it's for constantly having ten new ideas at any given moment, be it a new business idea, product, gadget, marketing strategy, recipes... you name it. They may not always be winners (especially with the recipes), there is no shortage of them. Steve Jobs said that "creativity is just connecting things" because of a diversity or depth of thought about one's life experiences, which I wholeheartedly agree with.
I've taken the path less traveled - from the offices of the White House, to the classrooms of a public school, to the bench at a major research institution and beyond; not to mention cultivated a wide variety of personal interests along the way. I believe it is these experiences and interests that have allowed me to become the person I am today.
