Great turnout at the Texas Venture Crawl event with enthusiastic participants diving into the nitty-gritty of entrepreneurship. Huge thanks to our moderator: University of Texas El Paso’s Assistant VP of Innovation, Michael Dalby, and panelists: Ecotone Fund Investor & CFO at Main Strike, Holly Trubowitsch and JJ Childress, Community Engagement Member at Microsoft Techsparks & Ecotone Fund Investor.

There were also guest speakers: Adriana Pulecio International Business and Trade Development Manager at the City of El Paso and Mia Romero, their Director of Advocacy for all their insightful contributions. Thank you to Minski for letting P21 use your space for our event!

Key takeaways were: 1) transparency is key, 2) coachable teams that solve problems attract investors, and 3) master your financials and market knowledge.

Thank you to the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation, El Paso Chamber, Mike Loya Center for Innovation and Commerce for their collaboration and support in putting this Texas Venture Alliance Crawl together!

CS Freeland, Texas Venture Alliance:

Laura and her Pioneers 21 team have been so incredible to work with to throw a very first Texas Venture Crawl. I have enjoyed our partnership and am grateful to be able to collaborate with them as they already do so much for their community. This experience they organized is in addition to their wide variety of important programming for El Paso, while also connecting the city into the statewide venture ecosystem of startup support with us. Thanks P21 for all that you do!

Put the next statewide, simultaneous venture networking experience on your calendar for next year here.

About the Texas Venture Crawl

The Texas Venture Crawl is a simultaneous statewide startup and investor networking experience founded in 2022 and is a partnership between Texas Venture Alliance and leading cohosts all across Texas. It started in downtown Austin, hosted in 5 venues, used 3 venture shuttle stops, and attracted more than 1,300 attendees.

This year it grew to 10 cities, 15 venues, 22 committee members, 10 volunteers, 40+ venture panelists, and 2,500+ Texans. The following cities participated: Austin, Dallas, Round Rock, Houston, Kerrville, Brownsville, El Paso, Buda, Boerne, and San Antonio.

Thank you to the “Texas-sized” statewide sponsors: Pacific Western Bank, Akerman, the Texas State Chamber of Commerce (Texas Association of Business), In Good Taste Wines, Liquid Death Water, and returning supporter from the first founding sponsorship of the Venture Crawl, Eisner Amper.
