Professional Biography

Michael joined Next Coast Ventures as a Senior Associate in 2022. Before joining NCV, Michael held investor roles at Buoyant Ventures and the Rockefeller Foundation where he focused on investments around Climate/Energy, Social Equity and Equality, and Healthcare. Early in his career, he spent four years working in management consulting at Oliver Wyman in New York City.

Originally from Vermont, Michael worked his way down to Austin for undergrad, graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with his BBA in Finance and a BS in Economics. He later went to Northwestern where he got his MBA and a Masters in AI/ML.

Outside of work you can find surfing/skiing or biking around town looking for the best brisket, tacos, or pretty much any type of food around.
